Metaserver Functional Specification

1. accept UDP packets from Netrek servers and store the information received into a memory table, ignoring any obviously bogus packets, and forcing to "bogus" any servers that exceed the maximum packet delivery frequency.

2. expire servers in memory table that have reached a certain age (configurable) without a new packet received; for example;
   • one hour; set to dead

   • two days; delist

3. service requests on specific TCP ports for various formatted dumps from the memory table. Refuse to provide any useful information on servers listed as "bogus".
